Building kit of a static model of the largest and most powerful steam locomotive ever built. The set was designed by renowned designers from the BriXpert studio.
This 1940 locomotive model, built for Union Pacific, perfectly captures all key lines of the real-world original. The wheels are configured as 4 leading + 8 coupled + 8 coupled + 4 trailing. Distinctive highlights include the elongated boiler and the attached tender in the carrier's iconic yellow livery. The Big Boy is a static display model set on a 104 cm long track section. The track segments are compatible with COBI® and LEGO® systems.
The building set features impressive details such as the full coupling between locomotive and tender including hose connectors, a detailed engineer's cab with gauges, and designated spots for fire hoses. The track display base is constructed from multiple brick layers to ensure solid stability for handling. Dusting is simply part of the hobby, after all!
