Remote-controlled building block set of the German self-propelled gun.
A highly detailed and functional remote-controlled building set of a German self-propelled artillery gun (mortar). The model features full drive capabilities (forward, backward, left, and right steering) and allows you to adjust the elevation of the gun barrel. The Karl-Gerät can also shoot a small plastic projectile. The firing energy is kept deliberately low to ensure the building set remains completely safe.
The model of this historic German mortar is constructed from precision-engineered parts that fit together with absolute accuracy. Authentic features include handrails along the sides—just like on the real machine—road wheels mounted on angled suspensions, and a ramrod stored on the hull holding a green "Betongranate 040". While this decorative shell is not fired from the barrel, the model includes a separate functional shooting mechanism using a thin plastic projectile powered by a rubber band, designed primarily for a realistic overall effect.
The set comes fully equipped with everything required for motorized operation. Included in the box is the MK-3 smart module, featuring an integrated motor and a built-in rechargeable battery, alongside a dedicated remote control (requires 2x AAA batteries). Alternatively, the model can be controlled via a smartphone using the MK Tech app. The module charges in approximately 60 minutes, providing an operating time of 10–15 minutes on a single charge.
Once fully assembled, the model measures 34.5 cm in length, 12.5 cm in width, and 15.5 cm in height.
The model is built from 1,648 high-quality ABS parts guided by an intuitive, easy-to-follow manual. Nothing is left to chance. If you are ever unsure which of two similar pieces to use, the 1:1 scale parts diagram will guide you safely through the assembly process.
